Roller bearings were shot, causing the counter shaft gears to wobble and squeak.
Counter shaft end thrust washer showing signs of damage and lots of heat. Doesn't look like it had the proper tolerance from whenever and whomever rebuilt it all those miles ago. Of course me running it without checking makes me just as guilty, but I did get a good 3-4 years and 30k miles out of it. Mr. Owens vs. Mr. Cro again.. I digress.
Always check the numbers in the book. New bushings, shafts, etc. Back on the road soon!
